The Hayes Trio is gearing up for a Friday through Sunday get-away to bluff country - in particular, Decorah and Lanesboro. This will be our first "road trip" of sorts as a family, and we are very excited!
The plan is to get on the road Friday morning. We'll head to Verona for breakfast with Gramsy, then try to time our departure from there to coincide with Boo's morning nap. The drive to Decorah from Gramsy's should be between 2 and 2.5 hours road time, and we'll just see how often we'll need to stop! Not sure how this is going to go with sweet little O, but I think we'll make it just fine.
Friday in Decorah. We'll spend the night with Aimee, see Kristen at some point, and who knows what else! After O goes to bed for the night, Sean, Aimee and I are headed to Art Haus for an evening show of "North by Northwest". (One of my favorite Hitchcocks, and Sean hasn't seen it yet!)
Saturday in Lanesboro. We'll head north 45 minutes to another one of my old stomping grounds to see Stef in her closing night performance of "Man of La Mancha". Good theatre, good food, good friends to see...it should be a blast!
This will be Boo-Boo's introduction to these places and people who are near and dear to my heart. I can't wait to share her with them!
